The films explains you how to 'spend' life.
i am very much aware that the quiet a long time to write a review of the film,but spare me because its no way a review , it is an in-depth-view (bad rhyming ,i guess)
And this too i am writing after a 2 weeks to be stable about what ever i am saying rather than pouring out
As a sociopath, i hate people "advising" me , at any form . for that fact i become phobic to philosophies.So whatever Gatsby does will never be "wrong" to me.this film is for all who say that money cant buy happiness kind of shit, this film makes you earn , makes you earn robotic. And not many films do so .
His richness inspires you. his party inspires you, his house inspires you, his wealth inspires you,his ego inspires you,his clothes inspires you,his extravaganza kills you hard within to earn A LOT.
The screenplay moves the film, the spidey guy (Tobey Maguire)narrates us .Though the screenplay is not greatest ever seen(on paper) ,it makes us to feel us so ,because of the production design and the greatness in the costumes. of course both of them won the Academy awards.
another great thing is that this is not a "hero'-possessed movie.Sometimes you even feel that Tobey Maguire enjoying greater screen space than DiCaprio .And there is a "story" ,unlike other Hollywood films, obvious from the fact that it is based on a "novel".A well unnoticed point is that in this film the acting style should differ to suit the period.In most of this films people just overact to our perspective or on the other side make it too artificial for us ,well not here. leo does it at the best.Too bad for academy awards that he was never awarded one.-
Recommendation :do watch it when you feel free of mind or super-happy
FOR PEOPLE : who love money ,extravaganza, luxury, dicaprio, the novel and ,by any chanse, STYLE
NOT FOR PEOPLE: who treat money to be sin and extravaganza to be religiously wrong .Or if you specifically don't like 3rd person narrative,.high functioning psyches
